    Are you going to give a free copy to all of the guests at your daughter‘s wedding? Of course, I gather from the summary of the plot that it’s not all that appropriate.

    Hi John–always interested in how carefully and creatively you are nurturing your novel along.  I have re-retired after stepping in to be the minister in New Haven for three years and get that (wonderful, as it turns out) congregation back on track.  It was a good and satisfying move for me, but I need to get back to Plan A and return to a second draft of my novel, and two non-fiction projects to get to my agent in proposal form.  I am having the first of two knee replacements next week, and that should also serve to get me moving, in both senses, in the direction I want!  Congrats on what looks like a wonderful wedding–you all must be so happy, dancing in the streets.I trust we will re-unite and chat in the coming year, now that our lives  have cleared out a bit and we can catch up and inspire one another for yet more literary triumphs!Fondly, Stephen
